Sunday, February 24, 2008 BOO's first day of school! 小瓜上学了！！ :)
Today is the 1st day of school for boo. She doesn't seem to feel there's anything special...but all the adults around her, her granny (though she doesn't admit), her mom, me & of course her baba (K). She went for the afternoon session, as morning session has no vacancy at the moment. And the centre manager sais they'll monitor her, if they feel she's ok, they'll put her on the full day session instead. 1pm, off to school she went with her mom. They took a bus for 2 stops, walked a little, and reached the centre around 1.30pm. It's a time where all the kids were having their afternoon naps. But as this place is new & foreign to boo, she refused to sleep. Instead, she was seen climbing over the sleeping children to get from 1 corner to the other...her mom was so worried she'll just stepped onto some kids...guess that will probably mark the end of school for her if that happens...hahahah Anyway, while the kids were all sound asleep...she was singing & dancing to her mom...i can imagine her shaking her bum and singing "ABCDEFG...."... Very soon, some kids were awoken by her singing and she started to hide behind her mom when she saw all the kids, all older than her...she was shy at first, but overcame that very soon and went towards them to shake hands. Maggie said there are 2 * 2006 toddlers in the centre, 1 is boo, the other is a boy 2 months younger than her. However, she's not the smallest size, to the contary, she's bigger than 3-4 toddlers 1 year older than her...i call her the little giant! hahhaha!! Tea time!!! they had bread with kaya + barley water. And boo dipped her bread into the barley water, and put pieces of the wet bread into her mouth, enjoying her tea...while the teacher looked with shock on her face...the teacher drew out many peices of tissues and passed to maggie, saying she would need it...hahaha...she just doesn't know boo well. This is the kind of thing that we expect boo to do anyways. Besides the tea time episode, everything went by quite uneventfully, and at 5pm, Maggie decided to bring boo home. So much for the 1st day of school...they reached home 5.30 & at 6pm, boo slept...and slept...and slept...till me & K reached home at 9+pm, she was still sleeping...makes me wonder what she really did in school??? She even skipped her dinner to catch up on her nap. Tomorrow will be the 2nd day. Granny & mom will bring her out for lunch, and send her to school together. They've told her numerous times that they will bring her there with the teachers, and she will have to be a good girl and wait for them to pick her up in the evening...wonder whether it will work, we shall see!!!
