the DHL balloon has been around for quite some time...but i never seriously thought of getting up there...till Joanne asked whether we want to bring boo up there, before she leaves for Japan to join her parents for another 3 months.
So on saturday, we, the whole gang, k, me, boo, lala, and cousin boy, + Joanne, T & cute Daryl met at the balloon site. We bought the tickets and were waiting for our turn. Boo was very excited about the balloon, kept telling K she wants to go up there....then suddenly the weather changed, started to drizzle and the wind got stronger...the staff there announced that they will have to stop flying after that particular flight, all flights after that are all cancelled/postponed...wow lao...when we left the site to go for dinner, boo kept saying "balloon, 我要balloon..." so sad...we kept telling her will bring her on another day...
The next day, while we were all sleeping at Ken's room at the Mandarin Oriental, Joanne said she's at Suntec, and shall we try the balloon again??! Of course we all CHIONG down immediately...this time the waiting time was only 15 minutes, the weather was fine and the wind under control....so up, up, up we went, at last....boo loved it, was very quiet when we went up...seemed to be enjoying the view...K carried her throughout, so she could see far away...we finally fulfilled her wish of flying in the balloon...
